This Week's Concert
Sunday, June 30, 2024
Note from the webmaster:  We update this web site at least once a week during our summer concert season.  Since the program for each Sunday concert is finalized at our rehearsal on Monday evening, we generally post the week's update sometime on Tuesday.  Unfortunately, if you are viewing this page on a summer Monday, what follows will undoubtedly be the information for YESTERDAY'S concert.
For those specifically SEEKING web pages from past concerts, our recent concert archives are now available online.

The conductor for this week's concert will be retired New London band director Ron Coberley.  Ron has been a member of the band's trumpet section for many years, and band members look forward each year to his concert since his selections are always fun to play, are quite varied, and have wide appeal.
Ron's selections this year include Travelin' Music by Robert Sheldon; Ascending the Crystal Hill by Brad Ciechomski; Half-Step March by Kyle McKinsey; Dance of Chivalry by Matt Conway, Guys and Dolls Overture by Frank Loesser, arranged by Robert Lang; That Ol' Hound Dog Rag by Randall Standridge; Sinatra! arranged by Stephen Bulla, including Come Fly With Me, Witchcraft, That's Life, and Fly Me to the Moon (by Burlington's own Bart Howard); Precious Lord, Take My Hand by Thomas A. Dorsey, arranged by Robert Smith; All Shook Up arranged by Ted Ricketts, featuring All Shook Up, Can't Help Falling in Love, C'mon Everybody, Jailhouse Rock, and Love Me Tender; and the band's traditional closing selection, The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa.

Because of the repaving of Madison Avenue it is suggested that you access Crapo Park by way of Summer Street and Parkway Street.  In case of rain, the concert will move to the James Madison auditorium at 2132 Madison Avenue.
